wrote: For 25 years the Ids and scans on the sites for
Stamp Show 2000 were incomplete.
Recently,
I finally got around to putting these on Vario pages
and then checked Scott and the sites as I usually do. When I tried to put Scott
#s to my sheets and booklet panes I had one left over--unnumbered. I went
back to the Scott listings and finally figured out what had happened. The
sheet on the sites with #950g is actually #950b. The catalog for #950b
just reads: "Souvenir sheet...",, for #950g
it reads: "As b with London Stamp Show 2000 emblem added in sheet
margin". Since there was no mention of an emblem on b, and not
having the g sheet, the b was ld
as g on the sites. The other scan on the site is a booklet pane, not noted.
There
are actually two s/s and five prestige booklet panes for this issue.

The Royal Legacy of Queen Victoria - King George VI

Stamps Collecting

George
VI, great grandson to Queen Victoria, came to the throne on 11 December 1936,
following the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII. He reigned as King of
the United Kingdom and the Dominions of the British Commonwealth until his
death in 1952.
Six
stamps form the fourth installment in the series The Royal Legacy of
Queen Victoria and feature photographs taken during the King’s
reign. Presented chronologically, they include an image of the King
making his famous speech inaugurating the Empire Exhibition and another more
relaxed image of the King perusing his stamp collection.
