Lou wrote: A very interesting design component issue, by the same designer as the St Thomas & Prince Europa stamp anniversary set, and the Mozambique set, and sadly, all are illegal issues. I don’t have any issue date info except for the year, so no cat #s, but the 3 sets may possibly be listed by Michel or Y & T, as several articles I’ve read on line about all the “private”/spurious issues complain that those catalog houses were acting in collusion with the printers by listing and therefore giving them some legitimacy.
Lou
added: The stamp depicting the rotund chef is not a
stamp design component like the rest.
This
issue has been declared as illegal on various sites (Colnect,
Stamp World), but was listed in Michel as issued on April 21, 2005, with
#s 2510-2517.

Lou wrote: I came across this being offered online, and it
is a totally bogus issue, but I found it amusing for
two reasons:
Chad is represented by Stamperija
who issues hundreds of s/s for them each year, so why was a country with a glut
of stamps chosen for a spurious issue?
The only reason I could think of, is that with so many, a phony could sneak
by.
But, to
add insult to injury if you bought one, the printers added a phrase in French
at the bottom of the s/s: "Pas officiel pour l'affranchissement". Someone not fluent in the
language, but used to seeing French on stamps can translate officiel
to official, and think it is a legitimate issue, however, the imprint
translates to "Not official for postage". So, if you can read French,
it is a warning that the s/s is bogus, something I have never seen before.
Too bad it's fake, because the stamp with the U.S.#C3a "Inverted Jenny" error, shows a
straight edge top variety which has never appeared on a legitimate SoS.
The scan for the Inverted Jenny with straight edge is the exact one the "designer" used. It is position # 3 from the top of the original pane of 100 errors bought in 1918. Oddly, there are less straight edge varieties than there are full perfed stamps, yet they sell for much less when offered. The Br. Guiana scan is the one I am using on my databases, unless the SoS has the 2014 auction scan, as it has been enhanced so that the stamp face can be better seen. Stamp face can be better seen.
Lou wrote: "fdc" dated 1 May 2019; note the "cancel"

SP: #TCH200217bO
Lou wrote and suggested to make revisions in the ID:
Instead of the three earliest versions of the Penny Black, Penny Red and 2p
Blue of 1840-41 which were all imperf,
the "designer" of this issue chose scans of much later issues from
the internet.
Not only are these stamps perforated, but
the Penny Red is interesting, as the top corner stars are replaced with check
letters in the reverse of those at the bottom (B-A, A-B). This was done to prevent defrauders from combining portions of
cancelled stamps to create a "mint" stamp and cheat the Post Office
of revenue, as had been done with the earlier stamps that had check
letters only at the bottom. And, with literally
hundreds of Penny Black scans available, he lazily used on
both s/s, the scan from Wikipedia with the M-H check letters so often
used on other Stamperija Penny Black issues. Also note the careless error in the description of the
three stamps: the "Two" is omitted from Penny Blue. He then
added a scan of a gold replica instead of an actual Penny Black to one
value of the 4 value s/s.

Lou wrote: Stamperija had Chad commemorate the important
105th Anniversary of the End of the Battle of Verdun with two s/s
"issued" on October 20, 2021. Only one of the 4 values s/s has a
stamp on stamp-- a portion of a canceled France #3191 issued in 2006 with
a view of the Douaumont Ossuary at Verdun. Behind the over 16,00 graves is
the ossuary building which contains the mounds of skeletal remains of the unidentified soldiers
who died at Verdun. The designer chose what is probably the best of
the several French Verdun commemoratives, but the shame of it is, it is only
partly included in a jumble of images, including a portion of the Ossuary
building tower.
It was a small challenge to ID the SoS, as searching online
for France Verdun was unsuccessful, but I recognized that the use of France
instead of Republique Francaise or RF made it a fairly modern issue, so I
checked 1996 and then 2006 - and found it.

don't know why Stamperija likes to pretend their "new
issues" were issued months before, but they announced that on
December 20, 2021, Chad issued two colorful s/s (4v, 1v) with the theme of
World Wildlife Fund SoS. Even tho there are thousands and thousands of WWF
stamps to choose from, the Stamperija "designer" still refers to his
stock of scans to illustrate this issue, and there are some we've seen before.
Something a little different, is the use of a montage
of non WWF stamps as backgrounds on both sheets.

SoS for the supposed November 30, 2022 issue from Chad, in the usual
1v and 4v s/s formats.
Back when they were doing the omnibus WWF A to Z issues, I
wrote to them that when doing the Fs, they had omitted France #1257,
the first WWF stamp! They did not reply, but the stamp turned up in a
label on the 4v s/s. The labels have SoS in blue monotones instead of actual
colors.
Nothing extraordinary in the choices, possibly a
few new WWF, but, either to be a bit different or due to plain laziness on
the part of the "designer", there were more complete sets than usual.
With all the Vietnam WWF issues available, he erred in choosing a
non-WWF bat stamp. He also chose four Guinea stamps that are unlisted and
probably an illegal issue.
