Belize is a small nation on the eastern coast of Central America, on the Caribbean Sea bordering Mexico to the northwest and Guatemala to the west and south. Belize was a British colony, known as British Honduras until 1973. It became independent in 1981.

On booklet pane 1 with $3.00 stamp, the margin background is an enlarged photo of the Cuthbert Brothers Cayes Service letter of 1895 shown on Cayes of Belize #18, issued later on November 5th.

Only about a dozen such covers exist, and that same exact cover sold for $3000.00 +18% buyer's premium in a December, 2018 Siegel auction.
