cx on Mauritius #18 (see above) and wrote:
The
SoS on this set show a
Mauritius stamp cancelled with a B64 hand stamp to commemorate the Centenary of
the Opening of the First Post Office in the Seychelles.Technically,
it is a Mauritius # 18, but the B64 hand cancel makes it a Seychelles
stamp!
For
many years, the stamps of Mauritius were supplied for mails from the
Seychelles, and the B64 cancel was created to specifically show these
mails originated in the Victoria post office on Mahe,
the main Seychelles island.
You
should change scans to the scan attached; the B64 is lightly stamped, but this
is typical of most such applications, the post office was very frugal with its
ink usage. It is a fairly rare stamp. I only saw
one in my collecting career, and I lost it in a mail auction with a bid of
$200.00.
