Design components: vignette, top frame and inscriptions
Lou
wrote: Instead of reproducing the Penny Black, the designer chose to show one
of the first stamps of Liechtenstein issued in 1912, but reworked the original
by changing the bottom inscription and the value tablets to note the
anniversary and new value and currency. Ingeniously, the original components
are in dark blue and the new portions in silver, so one can easily see the
"old and the "new". On the scan, the bright silver is showing up
as grey. I like this stamp.

Lou
wrote: I guess the Rapp Auction House in Switzerland felt that Liechtenstein
should have issued a stamp showing the Penny Black for the 175th anniversary,
so they ordered a private/personal stamp on a special cover as a souvenir to
note their participation at the Europhilex London
2015 which reproduced the Gt Britain #1 scan with the
M-H check letters seen on so many other issues. I emailed Rapp to ask if stamps
as well as the cover was provided and to see if the could supply them, but
received no answer, Obviously, a major auction house cannot be bothered with
further involvement in what was, to them, just a souvenir for their customers
at the exhibition.
